DESCRIPTION
EMS22Q51-C28-LS4 is a 22 mm non-contacting incremental encoder manufactured by Bourns that provides precise rotational position feedback using magnetic sensing technology. The encoder features quadrature output with selectable resolution from 32 to 256 PPR, operates at supply voltages of 3.3 VDC ±10% or 5.0 VDC ±10%, and delivers maximum supply current of 20 mA. It offers exceptional accuracy of ±0.7° nominal (±1.4° worst case), with hysteresis of 0.7° and output transition noise of 0.12° RMS maximum, supporting continuous electrical travel and shaft speeds up to 10,000 rpm. The sealed design with dual ball bearing construction, CMOS and TTL compatibility, and bushing or servo mount options make it ideal for material handling equipment, robotics, automotive applications, industrial automation, and brushless DC motor commutation.
