DESCRIPTION
GMOV-20D271K is a 20 mm hybrid protection component that combines Bourns' patented GDT technology with a Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) to provide high-performance surge protection. The device features a maximum continuous operating voltage of 275 Vrms (350 Vdc), with a MOV voltage rating of 430 Vrms (±10%) and a GDT DCB voltage of 500 V (400–600 V range). It delivers a clamping level of 730 V at 1,300 A with an energy absorption capacity of 305 J (8/20 µs pulse). The hybrid design achieves low leakage current, low capacitance, and bidirectional protection, making it ideal for AC and DC line protection applications including solar inverters, power supplies, distribution systems, and consumer electronics requiring UL 1449 SPD compliance.
