DESCRIPTION

MOV-10D470K is a 10 mm radial leaded metal oxide varistor designed to protect against overvoltage transients such as lightning, power contact, and power induction. The device features a nominal varistor voltage of 47 V at 1 mA DC, with a maximum continuous voltage rating of 30 V rms (38 V DC), and delivers high current handling with a maximum peak current of 93 A at 8/20 µs pulse. It provides fast response times of 10–25 ns and high energy absorption capability of 5.5 J per surge event, making it suitable for protecting power supplies, power systems, line voltage applications, telecom systems, and white goods/appliances. The varistor operates reliably over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C and complies with UL 1449 and ITU-T K.20, K.21, K.45 standards.
