DESCRIPTION

The PAC18R1-31D19F is an 18 mm low-profile absolute rotary encoder designed for professional audio and control applications. It features 4-bit gray code output with a sealed shaft and insulated plastic shaft, providing high-class rotational feel with haptic detent feedback. The encoder operates continuously through 360° mechanical angle with a maximum operating speed of 60 RPM, contact rating of 1 mA at 10 VDC, and contact resistance of 100 ohms maximum. It maintains insulation resistance of 10 megohms minimum at 500 VDC and dielectric withstanding voltage of 500 VAC minimum. The device operates reliably across a temperature range of -35°C to +70°C with an IP64 rating for environmental protection, and supports wave soldering at 260°C for 3 seconds or manual soldering at 350°C for 3 seconds. This encoder is ideal for professional audio equipment, control panels, and applications requiring precise rotational position feedback with tactile feedback.
