DESCRIPTION
PWR163S-25-5R00JE is a 25 W DPAK-style surface mount power resistor manufactured by Bourns, featuring a resistance value of 5 O with ±5% tolerance. The device is characterized by very low inductance (0.1 µH maximum) and excellent thermal performance with a thermal resistance of 5.2 °C/W, making it ideal for high-frequency applications such as amplifiers for audio and wireless base stations. It operates over a wide temperature range from -55 °C to 155 °C with a temperature coefficient of resistance of ±100 PPM/°C, and features a maximum operating voltage of 250 V. The resistor is electrically isolated from the backplate, smaller than a D²PAK package, and exhibits excellent pulse characteristics for use in current limiting and capacitor discharge circuits. Its RoHS and AEC-Q200 compliance, combined with compatibility with lead-free solder reflow temperatures, makes it suitable for modern electronic applications requiring reliable power dissipation and thermal management.
