DESCRIPTION

The TISP4015L1AJR-S is a very low voltage bidirectional thyristor overvoltage protector designed to provide 2-point protection for transformer windings and low voltage electronics. This device features a symmetrical voltage-triggered thyristor that clamps overvoltages through breakdown clamping until the breakover voltage is reached, at which point it crowbars into a low-voltage on-state to safely divert surge current. The TISP4015L1AJR-S is specified with a repetitive peak off-state voltage (VDRM) of ±8 V, a breakover voltage V(BO) of ±15 V, and a low off-state capacitance of 28 pF, making it ideal for ISDN and xDSL digital line applications. The device meets ITU-T recommendations K.20, K.45, and K.21, as well as FCC Part 68 requirements, with a 30 A "L" series rating for surge current handling. Its compact SMA/DO-214AC J-Bend package and low capacitance make it suitable for high-speed signal protection in telecommunications and data communication systems.
