DESCRIPTION
VVASC00-000 is a V-Series Contura II sealed snap-in rocker switch designed for demanding marine and industrial environments requiring robust electrical switching with environmental protection. The switch features single or double pole configurations with contact ratings up to 15 amps at 125VAC and 10 amps at 250VAC, supporting resistive loads of 4VA at 24VDC. It offers multiple illumination options including incandescent (10,000 hours), neon (25,000 hours), and LED (100,000 hours) with internal ballasting for voltages to 24VDC. The sealed construction achieves IP66/68 certification for complete protection against dust and prolonged spray and submersion under pressure, with operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C and compliance with UL1500 ignition protection standards. The switch exhibits excellent environmental resistance including vibration, shock, thermal shock, moisture, salt spray, and corrosion resistance per MIL-STD specifications. These characteristics make it ideal for marine vessels, offshore platforms, and industrial control panels where reliability and durability are critical.
