DESCRIPTION
PMD8RI is a diffuse-reflective photoelectric switch designed for object detection applications with a rated operating distance of 800 mm and adjustable sensitivity immune to ambient light. The device features modulated infrared light (GaAIs LED at 880 nm), selectable make or break switching output function, and optional timer functions including delay on operate, delay on release, and one-shot triggering. It operates across a wide voltage range of 10.8 to 264 VDC or 21.6 to 264 VAC (50/60 Hz), with response times of =20 ms (OFF-ON) and =30 ms (ON-OFF), housed in a reinforced polycarbonate enclosure rated IP 67. The PMD8RI is ideal for industrial automation, packaging machinery, and material handling systems where reliable object detection and flexible output control are required.
