DESCRIPTION
The 7280-3SG-300 is a Mini-Con-X harsh environment panel connector manufactured by Switchcraft, designed for reliable operation in demanding industrial and outdoor applications. It features a removable twist-lock backshell, separate neoprene o-ring seal, and gold-over-nickel brass contacts rated for 4.8 to 13.0 A at 600 V AC/DC, with UL and CSA certifications. The connector utilizes nylon bodies with santoprene rubber grommets and achieves NEMA 6P watertight sealing when mated, with a storage temperature range of -40°C to +115°C and minimum 300 mate/unmate cycle durability. The coupling ring incorporates an overriding locking feature to prevent loosening, and the hex nut withstands 10–12 inch/lb tightening torque. This connector is ideal for harsh environment applications requiring robust environmental protection, vibration resistance, and long-term reliability in corrosive or wet conditions.
