DESCRIPTION

The 380LQ821M400A052 is a Type 380LQ compact, high-capacitance snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for 85°C operation at 400 Vdc (450 Vdc surge). This capacitor features 820 µF nominal capacitance with a maximum ESR of 0.243 ohms at 120 Hz and 0.122 ohms at 20 kHz, measured at +25°C. The unit is housed in a 35 mm diameter by 50 mm length case and is rated for ripple currents of 3.25 A at 120 Hz and 4.14 A at 20 kHz when operating at +85°C. The Type 380LQ design achieves approximately 27% smaller size and more than 10 mm shorter length compared to the Type 380LX, enabling equipment size reduction while maintaining original performance specifications. These capacitors are commonly used in power supplies, industrial equipment, and high-reliability applications requiring compact form factors with high capacitance density.
