DESCRIPTION
The 940C20P1K-F is a Type 940 polypropylene film capacitor designed for high-voltage pulse and snubber applications, rated at 2000 Vdc (500 Vac). This capacitor features dual metallized electrodes that provide self-healing properties and exceptional peak current carrying capability, with a dV/dt rating of 1712 V/µs. The device has a capacitance of 0.11 µF with ±10% tolerance, dimensions of 21.0 mm diameter by 34.0 mm length, and exhibits low ESR of 7 mO at 100 kHz with an ESL of 24 nH. It delivers a peak current of 171 A and an RMS current of 8.3 A at 100 kHz and 70°C. The capacitor operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to 105°C and is ideal for high-frequency switching circuits, power conversion systems, and electromagnetic interference suppression where high voltage and rapid voltage transients are present.
