DESCRIPTION
The S8-0504 is a miniature high-voltage reed relay designed for applications requiring space-saving solutions and high isolation between low-voltage control circuits and high-voltage switching contacts. It features a 5V DC coil with a must-operate voltage of 4V and must-release voltage of 1V, delivering fast switching with 1 ms operate time and 0.5 ms release time when a diode is fitted. The relay provides 4 kV isolation across contacts and 7 kV isolation between contact and coil, with a maximum switching voltage of 350V DC (300V AC peak) and a maximum switching current of 1.0A DC or AC peak, while supporting a carry current of 2.5A DC. The contact material is rhodium with a contact resistance of 150 mO maximum and insulation resistance of 10¹° O minimum (10¹³ O typical), ensuring reliable high-voltage switching performance. Operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with a lifetime of 10? operations under grounded switching conditions, the S8-0504 is ideal for instrumentation, telecommunications, and industrial control applications where compact size and high isolation are critical requirements.
