DESCRIPTION
The 178-0332-500 is a 359 Series indicator base with a flat, non-diffused green lens cap (Type Designation LC11GN2) designed for use in aircraft instrumentation, ground vehicles, shipboard systems, and communication equipment. The base features an aluminum housing with black anodized finish, brass solder terminals with hot tinned elongated slots, and is designed for mounting in a 15/32" clearance hole (.468" diameter). It incorporates anti-rotation (locked) construction with a notched mounting bushing and matched insulating disc to prevent rotation, along with an internal-tooth lock washer and steel mounting nut with cadmium plating. The assembly is RoHS compliant with 6C exemption and meets or exceeds environmental and operational requirements of MIL-L-6723 and MIL-L-3661C, making it suitable for demanding applications including radar, sonar systems, control panels, and safety systems where reliable visual indication is critical.
