DESCRIPTION

The 550-1005F is a 5mm through-hole bi-color LED assembly designed for indicator and display applications. This RoHS-compliant component features a square back housing constructed from PBT material and supports both single-color and bi-color configurations with red/green or yellow/green LED options. The device is compatible with wave soldering, dip soldering, or hand soldering using lead-free processes at a maximum temperature of 260°C for 5 seconds. With standardized lead dimensions and a recommended PCB hole pattern, the 550-1005F integrates easily into circuit board designs. The LED is classified as an electrostatic-sensitive device (ESDS) and requires appropriate handling precautions during assembly and storage per IPC-A-610 standards. Common applications include status indicators, signal displays, and visual feedback systems in industrial and consumer electronics.
