DESCRIPTION
SMF24A is an SMD transient voltage suppressor diode designed for overvoltage protection, ESD protection, and free-wheeling applications in commercial and industrial grade applications. The device features a stand-off voltage of 22 V with a breakdown voltage of 24.4 V at 1 mA and a maximum clamping voltage of 26.9 V at 1 mA. It delivers peak pulse power dissipation of 200 W (10/1000 µs waveform) and 1000 W (8/20 µs waveform), with steady-state power dissipation of 1.0 W at 25°C. The diode operates over a junction temperature range of -50°C to +150°C and features very fast response time in a low-profile SOD-123FL package. SMF24A is ideal for protecting sensitive electronic circuits against transient voltage spikes and electrostatic discharge events in industrial and commercial equipment.
