DESCRIPTION
MLVC12V016C750 is a high-energy multilayer varistor from the BUSSMANN MLVC series engineered to absorb high-energy transient voltages and provide fast-response ESD protection for downstream circuits. This device features a working voltage of 16 Vdc with a varistor voltage of 11.3 V at 1 mA, delivering 0.4 J of energy absorption at 10/1000 µs pulse duration with a peak current rating of 150 A. The component exhibits a typical capacitance of 750 pF at 1 MHz and operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. MLVC12V016C750 is widely used in ESD port protection for mobile devices, tablets, set-top boxes, and various consumer electronics, as well as in industrial measuring devices and controllers where transient protection is critical.
