DESCRIPTION
The 62D18-02-020C is a high-torque optical encoder from Grayhill's Series 62 line, featuring a 1/2" economical package with 16 detent positions (22.5° angle of throw) and an integral pushbutton switch. This encoder operates at 5.0 Vdc with 2-bit quadrature coded output, delivering a rotational life of 1,000,000 cycles minimum and a pushbutton life of 3 million actuations. Key specifications include an operating torque of 3.5 ±1.4 in-oz initially (high-torque Style D), maximum operating speed of 100 RPM, supply current of 30 mA maximum, and power consumption of 150 mW maximum.
