DESCRIPTION
The 62V22-02-040C is a 3.3 Vdc optical encoder from Grayhill's Series 62 featuring a 1/2" package with 16 detent positions (22.5° angle of throw) and an integral pushbutton switch. It provides 2-bit quadrature coded output with optically coupled design rated for over 1 million rotational cycles, ensuring long operational life. The encoder operates at 3.3 ±0.125 Vdc with a maximum supply current of 30 mA and delivers logic output compatible with CMOS, TTL, and HCMOS logic families. Key mechanical specifications include an operating torque of 2.0 ±1.4 in-oz initially, maximum operating speed of 100 RPM, and a 45 lbs minimum shaft push-out force.
