DESCRIPTION
The 83AB1-103 is a standard 3x4 keypad from Grayhill's Series 83 line, featuring 12 buttons arranged in three columns and four rows with 0.5-inch center spacing. It incorporates snap-dome contact switches that provide positive tactile feedback and is post-mounted using a grooveless retaining ring or heat upset post. The keypad features molded-in legends and operates with a contact resistance of 10 ohms maximum, compatible with MOS, TTL, and DTL logic families. Rated for 10 milliamps at 24 Vdc with a voltage breakdown of 250 Vac between mutually insulated parts, the device delivers a life expectancy of 3,000,000 operations per button. With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, button travel of 0.015 inches nominal, and typical operating force of 350 grams, this keypad is ideal for industrial control panels, telecommunications equipment, and consumer electronics requiring reliable user input interfaces.
