DESCRIPTION

The HONEYWELL Part 16CX2 is a MICRO SWITCH„¢ Hazardous Location Switch designed for use in environments with explosive gases or dust. This switch has a compact epoxy-coated aluminum short housing and features a side rotary mechanism for easy operation. The switch is momentary, meaning it only remains in the ON position as long as the operator holds it down. It contains two single pole double throw (SPDT) hermetically sealed basic switches, offering reliable and precise electrical control. The switch has a rating of 1A at 125VAC and is suitable for NEMA 1, 3, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 13, and IP66 seal rating, ensuring protection against the ingress of water, dust, and other contaminants. It operates within a wide temperature range of -25 °C to 85 °C (-13 °F to 185 °F). The 16CX2 switch is equipped with two 3/4 inch - 14 NPT conduit terminations for easy installation and has NEMA 7 and 9 certifications, making it suitable for use in Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups B, C & D hazardous locations as well as Class II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F, & G hazardous locations where combustible dust is present. This switch is UL and CSA approved and also includes an internal ground screw for additional safety. It is a reliable and durable solution for hazardous environments that require precise electrical control.
