DESCRIPTION
The HBL2811ST is a 30 Amp, 4-pole/5-wire Twist-Lock plug rated for 3-phase Y 120/208V applications with patented screwless spring termination technology. The device features strong steel springs that continuously apply pressure to wires, ensuring secure connections that remain tight even under constant vibration and in abusive industrial environments. Installation requires no tools or torque wrench—simply insert the wire and press the plunger down, reducing termination time from approximately 61.5 seconds to 11.8 seconds per connection (an 80% labor savings improvement). The wires are secured with a minimum retention force of 13.5 lbs, exceeding UL 498 requirements, and the termination method eliminates the need for NEC code 110.14(D) torque verification.
