4N32
6 Pin Darlington Output, Single, Optocoupler ...
DESCRIPTION
The 4N32 is an optically coupled isolator consisting of an infrared light-emitting diode and NPN silicon photodarlington in a dual in-line plastic package, designed to provide galvanic isolation between input and output circuits. It features a high current transfer ratio with a minimum collector output current of 50 mA at 10 mA input forward current and 10 V collector-emitter voltage, along with a collector-emitter saturation voltage of 1.0 V typical. The device offers high isolation voltage of 5.3 kVRMS (7.5 kVPK) and isolation resistance of 5×10¹° O, with output turn-on and turn-off times of 5 µs and 100 µs respectively. Operating over a temperature range of -55 °C to +100 °C with a total power dissipation rating of 250 mW, the 4N32 is ideal for computer terminals, industrial systems controllers, measuring instruments, and signal transmission between systems with different potentials and impedances.
