DESCRIPTION
The 096522-0839 is a Micro-D metal shell connector designed for highly reliable, extremely small, lightweight applications requiring high-density contact configurations. It features aluminum shells that provide greater strength, prevent chipping and cracking, and offer electromagnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding, along with silicone elastomer compression interfacial seals to provide moisture and humidity protection between contacts. The connector employs size 24 MICROPIN/MICROSOCKET contacts on 0.050" (1.27 mm) centers, available in multiple shell sizes accommodating from 9 to 100 contacts with special arrangements for power and coaxial contacts. This connector is designed to meet demanding environmental and high-performance requirements for rugged, moisture-sealed microminiature applications in aerospace, military, and industrial systems where reliability and compact form factor are critical.
