DESCRIPTION
The 096522-0840 is a Micro-D metal shell connector featuring 0.050" (1.27 mm) contact spacing with size 24 MICROPIN/MICROSOCKET contacts in a high-density configuration. The connector employs aluminum shells to provide greater strength, prevent chipping and cracking, and offer electromagnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding. It incorporates a silicone elastomer compression interfacial seal to provide moisture and humidity sealing between each contact. Available in multiple shell sizes accommodating from 9 to 100 contacts with special arrangements for power and coaxial contacts, this connector is designed for applications requiring highly reliable, extremely small, lightweight connectors with superior environmental performance. The connector supports various mounting methods including front panel, rear panel, and edgeboard mounting configurations with standard #2-56 or #4-40 screw hardware options.
