DESCRIPTION
The 142-0791-801 is an SMA jack self-fixture end launch connector designed for high-frequency RF applications. It features a 50-ohm impedance with a frequency range of 0–18 GHz and a VSWR of less than 1.50 typical across this range. The connector body is constructed from brass with gold plating (0.00001 inch minimum) over nickel and copper, while the beryllium copper contacts are similarly gold-plated for superior conductivity and corrosion resistance. The insulator is made from TEFLON, ensuring excellent dielectric properties. Electrical specifications include a working voltage of 335 VRMS maximum at sea level, dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 VRMS minimum, and contact resistance of 3 milliohms maximum for the center contact. Mechanically, the connector supports 500 mating cycles minimum with a mating torque of 7–10 inch-pounds and contact retention of 6 pounds minimum axial force. Operating temperature range is –65°C to 165°C, meeting or exceeding MIL-PRF-39012 environmental standards. This connector is ideal for microwave and RF systems requiring reliable, high-performance end-launch connectivity on circuit boards.
