DESCRIPTION

The R46KI310000M1M is a metallized polypropylene film capacitor from KEMET's R.46 series, designed for AC and DC applications with self-healing properties to extend operational life. It features a polypropylene dielectric with metal-layer plates deposited by vacuum evaporation, non-inductive winding, and tinned wire leads, all housed in a flame-retardant plastic case (UL94 V0). The capacitor is rated for 275 Vac (50/60 Hz) or 560 Vdc with a capacitance range of 0.022 µF to 10 µF (E6 series per IEC 60063), capacitance tolerances of ±10% (K) or ±20% (M), and an insulation resistance of =1×105 MO for capacitances =0.33 µF. It operates across a wide temperature range of -40 °C to +110 °C (climatic category 40/110/56 per IEC 60068-1) and withstands a test voltage of 1500 Vac for 1 s plus 2200 Vdc for 1 s. This X2 class capacitor is commonly used in EMI/RFI filtering, power factor correction, and AC mains applications where reliability and self-healing capability are essential.
