DESCRIPTION

CD16RM0SB is a 16-position hexadecimal coded rotary switch designed for address switching and data selection applications in compact electronic assemblies. The switch features an 8mm DIP package that is 36% smaller than traditional 10mm DIP switches, with surface mount gull-wing termination and a flush M0 actuator with screwdriver slot. It is process sealed to withstand soldering and cleaning, with gold-plated copper alloy contacts and terminals providing reliable low-level switching at ratings up to 0.4 VA maximum at 20 V AC or DC. The switch offers 20,000 mechanical and electrical actuations with a contact resistance of 50 milliohms maximum, operating reliably across -25°C to +85°C. Typical applications include address switching in data storage devices, computer peripherals, and instrumentation systems where compact, reliable coded switching is required.
