DESCRIPTION
CRD16RM0SB is a 16-position hexadecimal coded rotary switch designed for address switching and data selection applications in computer peripherals and instrumentation. The switch features a 10mm DIP package with surface mount gull-wing termination (S), flush screwdriver-slot actuator (M0), and gold-plated beryllium copper contacts with gold over nickel plating on brass terminals. It delivers an electrical life of 20,000 steps minimum at 5V DC 10mA, mechanical life of 30,000 steps minimum, and contact resistance of 100 milliohms maximum. Operating over a temperature range of -20°C to +85°C with a contact rating of 0.4V AC/DC at 20V maximum, this process-sealed switch withstands soldering and cleaning processes. The CRD16RM0SB is ideal for applications requiring reliable position encoding in data storage devices, computer systems, and test instrumentation where crisp, positive detent actuation is essential.
