DESCRIPTION
The SML-LX0805SRC-TR is a red surface-mount light-emitting diode (LED) in a compact 0805 package designed for indicator and display applications. It features a peak wavelength of 660 nm with a water-clear epoxy lens finish, delivering 70 mcd axial intensity at 20 mA forward current and a wide 120° viewing angle (2× theta). The device operates with a forward voltage range of 1.7 V to 2.2 V at 20 mA, supports peak forward currents up to 200 mA (pulse, t < 10 µs), and has a steady-state current rating of 30 mA with a maximum power dissipation of 110 mW. Operating temperature range is -30 °C to +85 °C, with storage temperature capability from -40 °C to +85 °C, and the device is rated for lead-free reflow soldering per JEDEC Level 4 moisture sensitivity standards. This LED is ideal for status indicators, backlighting, and general-purpose signaling in consumer electronics, industrial control panels, and automotive applications.
