DESCRIPTION
The ISL9V3040D3ST is an N-Channel Ignition IGBT intended for use in automotive ignition circuits, specifically as a coil driver. This device features a collector-to-emitter breakdown voltage of 430V and can handle a continuous collector current of 21A at a case temperature of 25°C. It provides a Self-Clamped Inductive Switching (SCIS) energy rating of 300 mJ at 25°C and includes internal diodes for voltage clamping, eliminating the need for external components. With a wide operating junction temperature range of -40°C to 175°C and a total power dissipation of 150W, this IGBT is well-suited for demanding environments. Housed in a TO-252AA (D-Pak) package, it is ideal for coil-on-plug applications.
