DESCRIPTION
The R-78B5.0-1.0 is a high-efficiency switching regulator designed to provide a regulated 5.0V output at up to 1.0A. It operates over a wide input voltage range from 6.5V to 32V DC and achieves an efficiency of up to 93%. This high efficiency eliminates the need for a heatsink, saving space and cost. The device features low ripple and noise, typically 15mVp-p, along with continuous short circuit protection and thermal shutdown. As a pin-compatible replacement for traditional LM78xx linear regulators, it is ideal for applications requiring improved efficiency and thermal performance in a compact footprint.
