DESCRIPTION
The 30058 is a Static Shielding Bag from the 1000 Series, designed to provide a static-safe environment for ESD-sensitive electronic devices. It is manufactured from a polyester, metal, and polyethylene laminate construction, where the polyester dielectric works in concert with the aluminum shield layer to provide discharge shielding, while the exterior static-dissipative coating allows electrostatic charges to be removed when grounded. The bag features a transparent design with printed ESD protective symbols and lot codes for traceability, and is heat-sealable for secure closure. Key performance characteristics include a tensile strength of 4600 PSI (32 MPa), puncture resistance of 12 lbs (53 N), seal strength of 11 lbs (48 N), and a thickness of 2.8 mils (0.071 mm). Electrically, the bag provides ESD shielding of less than 10 nJ, surface resistance of 1×104 to <1×10¹¹ ohms on the interior, and static decay of less than 2 seconds. This product meets ANSI/ESD S20.20, ANSI/ESD S541, and ANSI/ESD S11.4 Level 3 standards, making it ideal for protecting sensitive components during storage, handling, and transport in commercial electronics manufacturing and assembly environments.
