The 732 is a dual conductor remote input jack designed as a replacement component for the 3M Workstation Monitor 724 static control system. It provides two phone jacks—one for the primary worker and one for use by visitors to the work area—enabling flexible grounding connection monitoring in ESD-sensitive environments. The jack integrates with the 3M 724 Workstation Monitor, which continuously monitors the resistance of operator and worksurface ground connections using a reliable resistance method that includes operator skin resistance measurement. The system can detect when operator resistance exceeds preset levels of 10 megohms or 35 megohms, or when wiring connections exceed 3.7 megohms, ensuring proper ESD protection. This component is essential for maintaining continuous static control verification in electronics manufacturing and component handling workstations.
