DESCRIPTION
The 66L100 is a subminiature bimetallic thermostat in the Airpax 6600 series, designed for accurate and reliable temperature sensing and switching in a single device. It features an 8-pin DIP package conforming to international standards, gold-plated contacts, and is RoHS compliant per EU directive 2002/95/EC. The thermostat operates over a temperature range of 40°C to 130°C with a standard tolerance of ±5°C, and provides contact ratings up to 1.0 amp at 48 VDC or 120 VAC, with low-level switching capability down to 0.001 A at 5 VDC. It achieves up to 30,000 life cycles at maximum standard amperage and up to 100,000 life cycles with gold contacts, with a maximum contact bounce of 3 milliseconds. The device is ideal for space-constrained applications on printed circuit boards and is commonly used in computers, aircraft, automotive systems, and test equipment for functions such as indicator lights, audible alarms, control circuits, and system shutdown switching.
