DESCRIPTION
The 100668-1 is a Type A vertical male connector with 5+2 row configuration designed for the AMP Z-PACK 2mm Hard Metric interconnection system. It features 110 signal pins with center guiding and keying facility, along with ground return shields and contacts in rows z and f for the additional 2 rows. The connector uses phosphor-bronze signal contacts with 0.8 µm gold plating over 1.3 µm nickel, and action pin contacts with 0.5 µm tin/lead over 1.3 µm nickel, ensuring reliable electrical performance. The housing is constructed from glass-filled polyester rated UL94 V-0, with a polarizing peg for proper alignment and dimensions of 15.4 mm length by 13.45 mm width. This connector is ideal for midplane and rear cable connections in VME and CompactPCI applications, offering end-stackability without changes to contact pitch.
