DESCRIPTION

The 1214224-1 is a seating tool assembly used to properly seat 10-contact Z-PACK 2mm Futurebus+ 5-Row Power Headers with compliant lead contacts onto a printed circuit board. This tool assembly includes one Blade (1214222-1), one Adapter (354703-1), and four mounting screws. During operation, the adapter straightens the connector while the blade engages the housing floor and contact shoulders, preventing damage and ensuring proper solderless installation. It is engineered to achieve a precise seating height of 38.1 mm (+0.254/-0.000 mm) when used with an application unit capable of supplying 102 N per contact. This tool provides a reliable method for installing power headers in various electronic assemblies.
