DESCRIPTION
The 1-2307520-5 is a SOLARLOK PV Edge decentralized junction box designed for glass-glass edge-mount applications with North-South foil orientation using Omega-Clip and large flap configuration with fixing tape. This clamping and non-potting junction box eliminates the need for hole drilling and provides quick installation without curing delays. It features a rated current of 15A (standard version) or 17A (special version), withstands 1500V DC per UL and IEC standards, and operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +115°C. The junction box includes an integrated PV4-S interface, thermal pad design for enhanced power handling, separate diode compartment for improved heat transfer during shading, and IP68 waterproof protection (7m/24 hours). The housing is constructed from polyhenyl ethers (PPE) and polystyrene (PS) materials, with angled lid and base design to reduce foil installation time. This solution is ideal for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), bifacial solar panels, and half-cell solar panel applications.
