DESCRIPTION
The 1-480703-9 is a 6-circuit socket housing (plug) for the 5.0 mm Power Key Connector (5.0 PKC) wire-to-board connector system manufactured by TE Connectivity/AMP. This connector features a compact design with a 19.4 mm mated height and 5.0 mm contact centerline spacing, utilizing a positive lock mechanism with a double lock plate for secure contact loading. The housing is constructed from UL94V-2 rated nylon in natural color with pre-tin duplex plating, and incorporates protective walls around the locking levers to prevent wire tangling. The connector is designed to accommodate double wire applications where individual insulation diameters do not exceed 0.115 inches (2.92 mm), and includes bubble-release design features for potted applications. This connector is widely used in power circuits for home appliances, particularly gas appliances, where reliable electrical connections and compact form factors are essential.
