DESCRIPTION
1-5229912-1 is a 50-position B-slot plug kit assembly designed for high-density connector applications. The kit features a polyphenylene oxide housing and cover, polyester molding compound cable clamp, and polyethylene dust cover in black color, with a blue color dot located at center for identification. Terminals are manufactured from high-strength copper alloy plated with 0.76 µm minimum gold or gold flash over palladium nickel plate (0.76 µm minimum total on mating surface) over 1.27 µm minimum nickel underplate, with contact surfaces coated with lubricant. The assembly accommodates 24 and 26 AWG solid and 24/7 strand copper conductors with maximum insulation diameter of 1.14 inches, and includes a captive pan head screw (4–40 × 6.35 mm long) with 4–40 UNC-2B mounting holes spaced 74.83 ± 0.36 mm apart. This kit is shipped unassembled and is commonly used in telecommunications, industrial control, and data transmission systems requiring reliable multi-position connector solutions.
