DESCRIPTION
1744041-1 is a closed barrel contact (loose piece) for the AMP Power Series 30 single-pole quick-connect/disconnect connector system manufactured by TE Connectivity. This stamped and formed contact is engineered to accommodate wire sizes from 12 to 16 AWG and features an open barrel design optimized for automatic and semiautomatic machine termination. The contact is constructed with stainless steel retaining springs to secure it within the housing and prevent accidental dislodging during mated conditions. With a voltage rating of 600 V AC/DC and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 2200 VDC, this contact is suitable for power distribution applications requiring reliable quick-connect functionality. The hermaphroditic connector design and color-coded housing system reduce inventory complexity while mechanical keys prevent improper mating of different voltage-rated connectors.
