DESCRIPTION
The 176146-2 is a sealed 6-position pin (cap) housing connector part of the Econoseal J Series Mark II connector family, designed for waterproof protection and rugged construction in automotive applications. The housing is manufactured from PBT material and accommodates wire sizes from 0.20–1.25 mm² (AWG 24–16), with a mating socket (plug) housing part number 174262-2. The connector features sealed cavity design to protect against moisture, dust, corrosive gases, and liquids that cause premature aging of electrical contact systems. Typical applications include wiring of sensors in motor hoods and connections to electrical control systems under extremely unfavorable climatic conditions, making it ideal for powertrain systems, safety and security systems, and body and chassis systems in automotive environments.
