DESCRIPTION

1-770249-0 is a phosphor bronze duplex-plated socket contact designed for use in 5.0 mm Power Key Connectors (5.0 PKC) wire-to-board connector systems. This contact is specifically engineered for 20-14 AWG wire sizes with an insulation diameter range of 0.130-0.200 inches (3.30-5.08 mm). The contact features a duplex finish with 0.000030 inches minimum gold plating in the mating area and 0.000050 inches minimum tin plating in the crimp area, both over a 0.000050 inches minimum nickel underplate. With a pin length dimension of 1.005 inches (25.53 mm) and a pin diameter of 0.980 inches (24.90 mm), this socket contact provides reliable electrical connection and mechanical retention. The contact is compatible with Universal MATE-N-LOK II plug or cap housings and is commonly used in power circuits for home appliances, particularly gas appliances, where robust and secure connections are essential.
