DESCRIPTION

The 2201855-2 is an Industrial Mini I/O Plug Kit Type I M connector designed for field-installable wire termination in industrial environments. This compact connector features an innovative piercing termination system that eliminates traditional soldering, enabling rapid field assembly with a hand tool in virtually any environment. The connector operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and supports 8-position, wire-to-board connections with a 0.635 mm pitch and 0.5 AMPS current rating at 60 V. With a maximum cable diameter of 7.1 mm and wire size of 24 AWG, combined with a latch retention force of 98 N, this connector delivers reliable performance in high-vibration industrial applications including motion drives, PLCs, robotics, and industrial communications. The space-saving design—approximately one-quarter the size of conventional RJ45 plugs—provides increased design flexibility while maintaining robust two-point contact reliability.
