DESCRIPTION
2-2178712-0 is a Male on Wire connector designed for the .050 centerline Micro-Match Value-Line connector family, a miniature board-to-board and wire-to-board interconnection system. This connector features highly reliable gas-tight and corrosion-free connections through insulation displacement contacts, and is supplied on tape and reel for automatic pick-and-place assembly. The connector operates on a 1.27 mm pitch and is compatible with standard ribbon cable, supporting position counts from 4 to 20 positions. It is designed for industrial, consumer, and datacom applications including home automation, alarm equipment, mobile GPS devices, lighting, and climate control units, where space savings and cost-effective automated assembly are priorities.
