DESCRIPTION

2-747580-4 is a stepped ferrule designed for use with HDP-20 shielding hardware kits in AMPLIMITE D-subminiature cable connector assemblies. This ferrule is compatible with shell sizes 4-5 and accommodates cable diameters ranging from .230 to .265 inches, with an L dimension of .625 inches. Constructed from annealed steel with tin plating, it provides reliable shielding termination for D-sub connectors. The ferrule is used with die set 543425-2 and is compatible with hand crimping tool 543344-1 or pneumatic bench tool 312522-3. It is RoHS compliant and commonly used in industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers, and data storage applications.
