DESCRIPTION
284848-1 is a sealed AMP MCP 1.5K/2.8 receptacle housing designed for automotive electrical and electronic applications within the AMP MCP (Multiple Contact Point) Interconnection System. The housing features 12 positions with PA 66 GF material construction, supporting wire sizes up to 4×2.5 mm² FLR maximum and 8×1.0 mm² FLR maximum, with keying option A and Connector Position Assurance (CPA). The sealed design provides enhanced environmental protection with dimensions of 45.8 mm length, 32.0 mm width, and 26.6 mm height, along with extraction tool compatibility (Part No. 1579007-1 and 1-1579007-1). This receptacle housing is commonly used in powertrain systems, safety and security systems, and convenience applications in motor vehicles, offering high reliability for long-term automotive use with three redundant contact points and excellent vibration resistance.
