DESCRIPTION
The 2-87631-8 is an AMPMODU Mod IV wire-applied receptacle housing designed for dual-row, polarized connector applications with detent latching. This 12-position housing features dimensions of 0.600 inches [15.24 mm] length (A), 0.300 inches [7.62 mm] width (B), and 0.200 inches [5.08 mm] height (C), with a single detent mechanism for secure mating. The housing is constructed from glass-filled thermoplastic material rated 94V-0 and accommodates phosphor bronze contacts with duplex gold and tin plating options for reliable electrical interconnection. The connector operates at a maximum current rating of 3 amperes per contact, with a termination resistance of 12 milliohms maximum and insulation resistance of 5000 megohms minimum.
