DESCRIPTION
3-1393486-5 is a 15-position D-Sub IDC female connector designed for ribbon cable termination. It features flanges with 3.0 mm diameter mounting holes and includes strain relief marking capability. The connector accepts commercially available ribbon cables with PVC insulation and tin or silver plated copper wires in AWG 26-30 range. Contacts are stamped and formed with nickel underplate, gold or gold flash over palladium-nickel on mating surfaces, and matte tin on IDC termination ends. The shell plating is bright tin over nickel, meeting performance level 2 per DIN 41652. This connector is suitable for data communication and industrial control applications requiring reliable IDC termination.
