DESCRIPTION
The 316092-1 is an 8-position 2.5 mm signal double lock (SDL) connector cap housing designed for compact wire-to-wire and wire-to-board interconnect applications. This connector accepts 26–20 AWG wire with insulation diameters up to 1.8 mm and is rated for up to 3 Amps per line at 250 VAC/DC. The housing features an audible click when contacts are fully inserted, polarizing ribs on the plug housing to ensure proper mating, and an innerlocking cavity that prevents unintentional disengagement. The connector is constructed with phosphor bronze contacts with pre-tin plating and is available in V-O rated material meeting UL 94 V-O and IEC 60335-1 5th Edition Glow Wire Test (750°C, no flame) standards. The 316092-1 operates reliably across a maximum temperature range of 105°C and is commonly used in household appliances, gaming devices, and other consumer electronics requiring secure, polarized signal connections.
