DESCRIPTION

3-747579-0 is a stepped ferrule designed for use with HDP-20 shielding hardware kits in AMPLIMITE D-subminiature cable connector assemblies. This ferrule is compatible with shell sizes 1-3 and features an L dimension of .440 inches, accommodating cable diameters ranging from .165 to .246 inches across multiple die set configurations. The ferrule is constructed from annealed steel with a tin plated finish for corrosion resistance and reliable electrical contact. It is designed for use with hand crimping tool part number 543344-1 or pneumatic bench tool part number 312522-3. Common applications include industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers and peripherals, and data storage systems requiring shielded D-subminiature connections.
